DELAND, Fla. – Florida Tech posted strong results on Saturday, defeating Stetson in the Varsity 8 by over 12 seconds at the Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center in Deland, Florida.
The Panthers were fast off the line in the Varsity 8+, jumping right ahead of Stetson's crew. Tech built their lead and held open water for the majority of the race, finishing in 5.47.8. Stetson followed in 5:59.7.
The Hatters scratched their second Varsity 8+, but Tech's 2V8+ rowed to a time of 6:26.6.
