MATCH NOTES:
  • The match started with early offensive chances, with both sides earning corner kicks within the first five minutes.
  • Tech earned the first shots and shots on goal of the match, but were unable to find the back of the net early
  • E&H was able to swing the momentum to their side after their first shot on goal was successful, taking a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute.
  • The match continued to not go the Panthers way as ten minutes later, the Wasps found the back of the net again to lead 2-0 in the 28th minute.
  • As good teams do, the Panthers did not back down under pressure and cut the lead in half when Francesco Micheli scored just five minutes later off a corner kick.
  • The final ten minutes of the first half saw both sides again trading offensive chances, but the Wasps remained in front 2-1 at the break.
  • The second half began with E&H garnering the first chance, but Tech swung the possession back to their attacking half to create a few early chances.
  • Unfortunately for the Panthers, they were unable to turn those chances into a second goal and remained down by one.
  • After it looked like the Wasps had regained control of the match, a mass substitution by Tech in the 70th minute re-sparked the Panther offense as they regained possession time in the attacking third.
  • In the 84th minute, Tobias Vik Asbo set up Mario Rekirsch for the equalizer, and the match was knotted at 2-2.
  • Despite going down to ten men in the final five minutes, Tech was able to hold on for a hard-earned draw.
