MELBOURNE, FLA. – Greyson Williams has been named the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The Freshman from Nolensville, Tennessee, powered a Tech defense in two competitive matchups this past week.
Williams began his week by recording six steals on the road against Florida Southern. He also tallied 4 rebounds and 14 points against the Mocs in a back-and-forth contest. His defensive play also kept Florida Southern's point guard to just ten points.
To finish the week, Greyson totaled 4 steals on the road against Barry to go along with 4 rebounds. He also exploded for 26 points against the Buccaneers in large part due to the momentum gained from his elite defensive performance.
This past week was far from a one-off for
Greyson Williams. This year, he has 43 steals in 23 games, including nine multi-steal games. Fans can catch Williams and the Panthers in action this Saturday in the Clemente Center against Lynn at 4:00 PM.
