Final: Florida Tech Panthers 3, Florida Southern Mocs 4
Records: Florida Tech (8-4, 3-1 SSC) | Florida Southern (5-11, 1-3 SSC)
Location: Henley Field | Lakeland, Florida

GAME NOTES:
  • On the first pitch of the ballgame, Jeff Davis roped a double down the left field line. The Panthers struck first a batter later when Adrian Dominguez shot a ball into the left-center gap for a double of his own to score Davis.
  • The next batter, Gabe Roque, kept the rally going by sending the first pitch he saw over the center field wall for a two-run home run and a 3-0 Tech lead
  • Jacob Pino took the mound in the bottom half and continued his dominant start to the season by producing a clean 1-2-3 shutdown inning.
  • The Mocs earned base runners in the bottom of the second and third innings, but Pino worked to keep them off the board.
  • The Panthers threatened to add more runs in the top of the fourth after back-to-back singles from Marcello Cortale and Marshall Burke, but both runners were left stranded and the lead remained at 3-0.
  • After another zero from the Tech offense, Florida Southern finally broke through and put up two runs in the bottom of the fifth. Pino limited the damage and kept the Panthers in the lead by a run.
  • Blake Holshouser entered the game in relief in the bottom of the seventh and tossed a scoreless frame, striking out a Moc in the process. He added another shutout inning in the eighth to send the game to the ninth with Tech still leading 3-2.
  • Down to their final three outs, the Mocs rallied to push across two runs and won the game in walk-off fashion.
FINAL: Florida Tech Panthers 3, Florida Southern 4
