MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech women's basketball placed four student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon. Elif Bayrak, Amanda Ogbonna, Tai Roberts, and Remingtyn Smith earned the recognition after playing key roles during the 2025-26 season, ranking among the team's leaders in minutes and scoring.
Selected by College Sports Communicators, the Academic All-District teams honor the nation's top student-athletes for their success both on the court and in the classroom.
Bayrak, a junior transfer majoring in computer science, carries a 3.63 GPA at Florida Tech. The Turkey native started 26 of 27 games, averaging 12.6 points per game while adding 89 rebounds, 44 assists, 16 steals, and five blocks. She knocked down 64 three-pointers, the seventh-most in a single season in program history, and led the team with an 88.2% free-throw percentage, helping the Panthers set a new program record.
Ogbonna, also a junior transfer and computer science major, holds a 3.75 GPA at Tech and a 3.83 GPA from her previous institution. The Georgia native appeared in all 28 games with 13 starts at center, averaging 8.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, which ranked ninth in the conference. She also recorded 18 steals and seven blocks.
Roberts, a senior mechanical engineering major with a 3.81 GPA, started all 28 games and led the team in minutes played at 35.9 per contest. The Ohio native paced the Panthers in scoring with a career-high 13.9 points per game and ranked second on the team with 80 assists. She also averaged 4.9 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game, marking her third consecutive Academic All-District selection.
Smith, a senior marketing major with a 3.81 GPA, enjoyed a breakout season with career highs across the board, including starts (25), points (159), field goals (51), three-pointers (23), rebounds (95), assists (92), steals (50), and blocks (4). She led the team in assists and steals, finishing eighth in the SSC in both assists per game and total assists. Smith is a three-time SSC Spring Honor Roll selection and earns her first CSC Academic All-District honor.
