GAME NOTES:
- To begin today's contest, Flagler pushed across two runs in the bottom of the first via a solo home run and a double followed by back-to-back wild pitches.
- The Panthers earned a pair of free passes for base runners in the first two innings and in the top of the third, Justis Meadows smoked a ball through the 5-6 hole for the first Tech hit of the game and the first of his career.
- Flagler tacked on two more runs off wild pitches in the bottom of the third and another run in the fourth to grow their advantage to five runs.
- Tech had base runners in scoring position in three of the first five innings but were unable to capitalize.
- Christian Montes provided a spark on the mound by tossing a clean 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the fifth.
- Feeding off that momentum, Adrian Dominguez picked up his second hit of the day in the top of the sixth in an attempt to start a rally. A batter later, Anthony Fimiano doubled to left center to score Dominguez from first.
- Unfortunately for Tech, Flagler responded right away with a four-run bottom of the sixth by way of two home runs and an error.
- In the top of the seventh, Tyler McClanahan drew a walk and Justis Meadows added another hit to his day to put runners on the corners. A Saint error allowed McClanahan to score and after a Marcello Cortale single, the Panthers had the bases loaded with one out.
- Down 9-2 and the bases juiced, back-to-back singles from Gabe Roque and Adrian Dominguez scored two Panthers and kept the bases loaded. After a walk from Anthony Fimiano to score another run, Tyler McClanahan doubled down the right field line to clear the bases and pull Tech within one run.
- Freshman Justis Meadows continued his dominant day, notching his third hit of the game to score two more runs and giving the Panthers their first lead of the contest.
- In the bottom of the seventh, Flagler used a pair of hits to score a run and send the game into the final two innings tied at 10-10.
- While both teams had a runner on second with less than two outs in the eighth inning, neither side could take the lead and the game remained tied heading into the ninth.
- Marshall Burke led off the top of the ninth with a triple in the gap and scored a batter later off a Zade Stark sacrifice fly.
- While Tech held an 11-10 lead, Flagler rallied to load the bases and push across the tying run. Noah Steckley worked out of the jam to send the game to extra innings.
- After the Panthers went scoreless in the top of the tenth, Flagler led off bottom half with a base hit who came around to score the winning run.
