MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association has released its 2026 All-American teams with Florida Tech's Sophia Scichilone becoming the first Panther since 2019 to be named to the list.
 
There was a total of 48 student-athletes selected to the first, second and third teams from 21 different institutions. 
 
Sophia Scichilone, a senior from Lake Worth, Florida, is the seventh different Panther in program history to be named an All-American by the IWLCA as she was named to the Third Team. She continues to add to her highly decorated career as she already collected All-SSC First Team and All-South Region First Team honors in 2026. 
 
Scichilone became Tech's all-time career points leader with 271 this season. She rose to sixth in Florida Tech's career list in goals with 132, is first in career assist with 139 and is tied for first in career power play goals with 16. Additionally, she broke her own single season record of 41 assists as she had 46 in 2026.
 
This season, Scichilone had the second highest points in a game in program history with 12 against Rollins and the second most assists in a game in Tech history with 9 against Rollins. In 2026, she had eight multi-goal games including four hat tricks. Her elite passing was evident as she had 11 multi-assist games including four games where she had five or more. Scichilone had multi-point efforts in all but two games this season.
