ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Tech women's soccer team was tabbed the unanimous favorite to win the 2026 Sunshine State Conference championship, according to the preseason coaches' poll that was release on Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The Panthers claim the top spot in the SSC Coaches Poll for the second consecutive season. Tech is fresh off their first National Championship in program history with a 17-3-6 record including 5-2-3 in SSC play.
Florida Tech returns 15 players from last season and adds 17 newcomers. The NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player,
Kaitlin Sinkler, returns after saving a program record 94 shots last season. Second Team All-Region selection,
Izzie Bromage returns after having the second most goals on the team last season with seven.
Nova Southeastern was picked second while Eckerd rounds out the top three. In the middle of the pack, Embry-Riddle claims fourth, Rollins fifth and Florida Southern sixth.
Tech ranks first in the 2026 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II preseason poll while Nova Southeastern is seventh while Embry-Riddle receiving votes.
The 2026 regular season kicks off for the Panthers on Thursday, Aug. 27 as Tech takes on Franklin Pierce at 5:00 p.m.
