With all athletic competitions wrapped up in a 12-12 deadlock, the deciding factor came down to off-the-field excellence, where the Panther scholar-athletes delivered in a big way. Florida Tech averaged 10.98 community service hours per scholar-athlete compared to Embry-Riddle's 10.69 hours per athlete. That decisive margin earned Florida Tech the final four points in the standings, securing the historic 18-14 victory over the Eagles.
