First Set: Florida Tech 25, Edward Waters 14
- Ayisha Missipo won the first point of the new year off her first kill of the year.
- The Panthers took the momentum early, jumping out to an early 6-1 lead with a pair of blocks from Scarlett Kimbrell.
- After the Tigers went on a 4-0 run, the Panthers returned the favor with a run of their own, sparked by two straight service aces from Brooke Menke.
- Kills from Olivia Bush, Cordelia Kearns and Isabelle Clark, plus errors from the Tigers, kept Tech out in front 16-9 at the midway point of the first set.
- Both teams traded points, but another big block from Kimbrell and more kills from Kearns and Clark helped the Panthers take the first set by double digits.
Second Set: Florida Tech 25, Edward Waters 17
- After a dominant first set by the Panthers, the Tigers answered to begin the second, taking a big early lead.
- A solo block from Kimbrell and kills from Kearns, Clark and Missipo helped Tech get back into the set, tying the scoreline at 8-8.
- Elisa Broggio earned her first service ace of the year to take the lead and back-to-back kills helped Tech take control of the set.
- Broggio added three more aces to her total on the day and Kimbrell and Bush added more kills as the Panthers exploded to lead 18-10.
- The Tigers tried to make a comeback, but kills from Clark, Kearns and Missipo shut the door as the Panthers took a 2-0 lead in the match.
Third Set: Florida Tech 25, Edward Waters 15
- Both sides traded points to open the third set but it was the Tigers who opened the first multi-point lead at 6-4.
- Points from Broggio, Kimbrell, Kearns and Natalie Rhodes shot the Panthers back in front and after a 5-1 run, Tech was out in front 14-10.
- Newcomer Aly Dennison earned her first collegiate assist, Kearns hit double-digit kills for the first time this season, and Kimbrell picked up a career best fifth block of the game as Tech looked to bring out the broom for the sweep.
- Abby Konen earned her first kill of the year to close out the game and help the Panthers start the new year 1-0.
