MELBOURNE, Fla. (Baseball) - Florida Tech overpowered No. 22 Catawba College in a weekday game on Tuesday at Andy
Seminick-Les Hall Field. The Panthers gave an impressive performance when they had 10 runs off of 18 hits and outscored the Indians who only managed six runs off of eight hits.Â
The Panthers quickly take the lead in the first inning when they scored five runs on six hits. DanielÂ

Masih all picked up RBI's off of their singles, while James
Gronberg picked up two when he singled to right center.
The Panthers never lost their lead after that and the score remained the same until Catawba tried to make a comeback in the fifth. They scored three runs off of two hits but Florida Tech immediately answered in the bottom of the inning when they scored three more runs of their own.Â

Reid Neal picked up his first of the day when he doubled to left field. The Indians scored three more runs through the next two innings which brought the score to 8-6 at the top of the eighth. At the bottom of the inning the Panthers locked in their win after John
Sternagel and Grant
McKown hit bombs over left field fence. The Panthers now advance to 13-5 on the season while breaking the Indians two game win streak.
Grant
Willcoxon took the win for the Panthers after a tally of three strikeouts with only one allowed just run on two hits.
Jake Lane relievedÂ
Willcoxon and pitched two innings for a total of two strikeouts.
Additionally, freshman
Justin Barney came in during seventh and managed three strikeouts on the six batters he faced. Taking the save was
Drew Beyer who closed the game and shut out the Indians in the last inning.Â
