CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Florida Tech swim teams returned to the Long Center pool on Saturday for the third day of the Sunshine State Conference Swimming Championships.

Emanuele Rossi finished 11th overall in the men's 50 freestyle finals with a B-cut time of 4:32.78.

After a strong prelim in the women's 100 backstroke,
Paulina Bjorkbacka took 16th in the finals at 59.20.

In the men's 100 backstroke,
Carlos Obregon grabbed sixth with a time of 50.44.
Ferron Van Ritter finished 13th overall at 53.49.

Carter Juskevich bested her prelim time of 1:05.07 in the women's 100 breaststroke by earning a time of 1:05.04 in the A-final, good for eighth overall. Sam Conger joined her teammate in the finals and took 16th in the finals at 1:11.93.

After setting a new school record and B-cut time of 55.53 during the prelims of the men's 100 breaststroke,Â
Dain Rust ended in fifth in the A-final.
Corey Ollivierre posted the top time in the B-final and took ninth overall at 56.03, while
Jose Coiman-Acosta placed 15th at 57.83.

Continuing their impressive run at the championships,
Adi Davidov and
Yagoh Kubagawa finished seventh and eighth in the men's 200 butterfly finals with B-cut times of 1:50.05 and 1:50.29, respectively.

The women's 800 freestyle relay of
Samantha Bischoff,
Birgitt O'Connor,
Mary Ida Spradlin and
Olivia McKelvey grabbed sixth in the final at 7:57.71.

In the final event of the day, FIT's men's 800 free relay team of Kubagawa,
Samuel Hartle,
Harry Sale and Rossi placed fifth overall with a time of 6:47.03.

The 2018 SSC Swim Championships conclude on Sunday with the prelims beginning at 10 a.m. The finals are set to start at 5 p.m.
