AUGUSTA, Ga. – Florida Tech is bringing home some hardware after its one day on the Savannah River for the Head of the South Regatta as the crew picked up a pair victories in both the Championship 4+ and 8+ on Saturday.Â

Tech put four boats in the Champ 4+ race but it was the "A" boat that took the win as it finished in 15:18.8, ahead of Stetson (15:44.0) and Embry-Riddle (15:58.4). Florida Tech's "B" boat placed fourth (16:00.7) ahead of Jacksonville's "A" boat (16:04.3) in fifth, while Tech's "C" boat took sixth (16:04.5) and "D" boat ended in ninth (17:14.6).

In the Champ 8+, Florida Tech "A" took the top spot again with a time of 14:06.8 ahead of JU (14:16.7), Stetson (14:26.2) and Embry-Riddle (14:50.3). The "B" boat finished fifth in the event with a time of (15:12.6). Â
