STATS OF GAME:
- The Panthers started the first inning off with a solo homerun by Jakob Newton to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
- The Knights answered in the bottom of the first with a three-run homerun by Byron Murray, giving the Knights a 3-1 lead.
- Diego Garcia hit a RBI single to center field in the top of the second, scoring Jack Nagy, cutting the Knights lead 3-2.
- Jakob Newton hit a RBI single to right field in the top of the third, advancing Paul Castillo to third, and scoring Dylan Dohanos to tie the game 3-3.
- Brett Parrish reached first on a fielder's choice, advancing Newton to second. Castillo would then score on an error by the pitcher, giving the Panthers a 4-3 lead.
- Dylan Owens hit a RBI single to right field, advancing Parrish to second, and plating Jakob Newton
- Alec Eldridge hit a RBI single to right field, scoring Parrish.
- Sam Schner reached first on a fielder's choice, allowing Jack Nagy to advance to second, scoring Eldridge to extend the Panthers lead 7-3.
- After a delay due to inclement weather, Dylan Dohanos hit a RBI single to right field, advancing Schner to third, allowing Nagy to score and extend the Panthers lead 8-3.
- The Knights would score their final run in the bottom of the fourth when Pedro Martinez reached first on a fielder's choice, scoring Ford, cutting the Panther lead 8-4.
- Paul Castillo hit a RBI single to right field in the top of the eighth, advancing Dohanos to second, plating Schner.
- Parrish hit a RBI double to right field, advancing Newton to third, allowing Dohanos to score to extend the Panthers lead 10-4.
- Dohanos singled to center field in the top of the ninth and advanced to second on an error, allowing Schner to score in the process.
- Joey Hecht pitched two innings, allowing four hits, three runs, and threw 35 pitches.
- Danny Vassallo pitched six innings, allowing two hits, one run, and struck out seven Knights, earning the win.
- Zach Rodgers closed the game for the Panthers, allowing one hit, struck out one, while throwing ten pitches.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the first matchup between Florida Tech and Lynn since March 22, 2022. The Panthers now lead the all-time series 48-46.
- Dylan Dohanos extended his hitting streak to 11 with his double to left center in the top of the first.
- Danny Vassallo became the fifth Panther reliever to record 50+ strikeouts in a season.
