STATS OF GAME:
- Jiovel Lantigua doubled down the right field line in the top of the second, allowing Nate Houson and Sean Houck to score, giving the Sailfish a 2-0 lead.
- The Panthers answered the Sailfish in the bottom of the sixth when Dylan Dohanos singled through the left side, advancing Jack Nagy to second, scoring Paul Castillo, and cutting the Sailfish lead in half.
- After a scoreless seventh and eighth inning, the Panthers started to rally back in the bottom of the ninth. Dylan Owens singled through the left side, advancing Brett Parrish to second, plating Jakob Newton, and tying the game 2-2.
- The two out Panther rally was complete when Alec Eldridge hit a RBI single to left field, plating Brett Parrish and securing the 3-2 victory for the Panthers.
- Joey Hecht pitched seven innings, allowing eight hits, two runs, struck out three Sailfish, while throwing 86 pitches.
- Danny Vassallo closed the game for the Panthers, allowing no hits, no runs, struck out one, and threw 29 pitches.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- This was the first meeting between Florida Tech and Palm Beach Atlantic since May 6, 2021. The Panthers now lead the all-time series 56-27.
- The Panthers victory secured the 12th 30-win season in program history.
- Danny Vassallo is the first Panther pitcher to record seven wins in a season since Andy Marzheuser, who won eight in 2019.
