MERCER, N.J. – Florida Tech men's rowing hit the water for the opening day of the 2023 IRA National Championship Regatta at Mercer Lake in Mercer, N.J.
The regatta got underway Friday morning with a time trial. The shell posted the third-best time in the time trials (06:24.062) to claim a spot in the semifinals.
Due to bad weather in the afternoon, the semifinals were pushed back, until the events were suspended for the rest of the day. Thus meaning that the time trials would directly place the boats into their respective finals. With their strong time trial, the V4+ will race for a championship in the grand final at 9:30am on Saturday.
