MELBOURNE, Fla.- Florida Tech men's lacrosse earned the No. 3 seed for the 2024 Sunshine State Conference tournament. The three-round tournament begins this Saturday, April 20, with the Panthers hosting six-seeded Lynn at Rick Sottler Field. The contest is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Lynn earned the No. 6 seed following a tiebreaker with Embry-Riddle and Palm Beach Atlantic after the three teams finished the season knotted at 2-5 in the league standings.

This will be the second meeting this season between the Panthers (5-8, 4-2 SSC) and the Fighting Knights (5-9, 2-5 SSC). Lynn defeated Tech 11-9 on April 13 for their second conference win.

Florida Tech is 2-4 all-time in SSC tournament action and made the championship game twice, falling both times to Tampa by a score of 11-8 in 2015 and 12-8 in 2017.

Tampa and Rollins earned the No. 1 and No. 2 seed and received a first-round bye as the SSC tournament has expanded to six teams for the first time in conference history.

Florida Southern grabbed the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Saint Leo in the other quarterfinal game on Saturday in Lakeland.

Following Saturday's quarterfinals, the winners will advance to the semifinals on Wednesday, April 24. The SSC Championship is set for Saturday, April 27 at the highest remaining seed.
