MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech men's indoor and outdoor track head coach Pete Mazzone has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2025 season. The schedule consists of all four indoor track meets, and the outdoor track season consists of eight meets. The slate includes two hosted by Embry-Riddle and UCF, with one hosted by the University of Tampa, the University of North Florida, the University of Florida, and the SSC.
"Our indoor and outdoor schedule is set for the 2025 season. Starting with our indoor season, each meet is in Gainesville, where we have seen Olympic athletes compete in several past meets," said Coach Mazzone. "The outdoor season is a little more spread out. We also have some extra meets built in for those athletes who have or are on the cusp of qualifying for the national meet in March indoors and late May for outdoors. "
The men's track team will look to run into the new year in its first indoor meet, the Jimmy Carnes College Invitational, on Friday, January 17
th. The first race is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
Following the Jimmy Carnes College Invitational will be the RADD Sports College Invitational from Friday, January 24
th to Saturday, January 25
th. Both days of the meet are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
The RADD Legends Invite will be held from Saturday, February 1
st, to Sunday, February 2
nd, starting at 9 a.m. on both days. The fourth meet, Celebration Pointe Classic, will occur on Friday, February 7
th, at 9 a.m.
The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held from March 12 to March 15 at the Fall Creek Pavilion at Indian State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The men's outdoor track season will open on Saturday, February 22
nd, at the Tampa Classic in
Pepin Stadium. Beginning in March, the Panthers travel to Jacksonville for the River City Relays hosted by North Florida on March 7 and 8. Some Panthers will head to Daytona Beach for one of two Embry-Riddle-hosted meets in the Eagle Invite on March 8.
One of two UCF invites will occur from March 21 to March 22, starting at 5 p.m. on both days for the Black and Gold Invitational. Then, some Panthers return to Embry-Riddle for the Running Elements Classic from April 4 to April 5, while others compete in the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville.
The first SSC Outdoor Track Championships will be held at the ERAU Track and Field Complex on April 19th. Following the conference championships, Tech will round out the regular season by returning to UCF for their Knights Invitational on April 25.
The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held from May 22 to May 24 at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado.
