JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Tech Men's Rowing team medaled in four different events at the First Coast Head Race on Saturday, Oct. 11.
 
The Panthers competed in four events, medaling in each of them. Tech took second in the Varsity 8+ with their first and second boats. Florida Tech also placed second in the Varsity 4+ and the Freshman 4+.
 
The first boat of the Tech 8+ got the day started with a second-place finish with a time of 8:20.01. The Panthers finished behind Jacksonville University who notched a time of 8:15.99.
 
The 2V 8+ also earned a second-place finish as they earned a time of 8:38.84. The Panthers were just behind Embry-Riddle as the Eagles had a time of 8:35.29.
 
Competing against 10 other boats, the Florida Tech "A" boat finished with a time of 8:49.03. They finished ahead of Jacksonville's "A" and "B" boats as well as Embry-Riddle's "A" and "B" crews.
 
The final event for the rowing team came in the Freshman 4+ where the Panthers came in with a second-place time of 10:25.87.
