LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Tech men's cross-country team competed in the 2025 Sunshine State Conference Championships on Saturday morning at Holloway Park. In a field of 10 teams, the Panthers took fifth place for the second consecutive year.
In total, 114 runners completed the race with Tech having two finish in the top 30 and four in the top 30. Their team score of 145 had them 60 points shy of fourth. Ben Peck was the top Crimson and Gray finisher at the SSC Championships for the second consecutive year as his 25:21.80 time earned him 14th place. Noah Heal continued his excellent debut season by finishing 29th thanks to his time of 26:01.10.
Thomas Carpenter continued his consistent campaign as he was the third Panther across the finish line, earning 32nd with a time of 26:05.10. Tyler Herrera took home 47th through his 26:47.50 finish. The Panther top five was capped by Jake Greene, who grabbed 66th with a finish of 27:32.70. Alvaro Cameo set a new personal best with his time of 30:22.90.
Eight Panther runners completed the race in under 30 minutes.
