Amorim Postseason Brilliance Locked in SSC All-Tournament Recognition

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida Tech men's soccer freshman forward Caio de Amorim de Deus has earned a spot on the 2025 Sunshine State Conference (SSC) All-Tournament Team after an outstanding postseason performance that played a key role in the Panthers' run to the semifinals.

Amorim delivered in both SSC Tournament matches, scoring two goals, one in each game, to help propel Florida Tech over Barry in the quarterfinals and into penalty kicks against Lynn. His clutch finishes underscored his importance to the squad and showcased his ability to perform under pressure.

In the quarterfinal round, De Deus found the back of the net to secure a vital goal for the Panthers, tying the game in the 56th minute. The Crimson and Gray went on to win the game in overtime. He followed that with a composed and powerful strike in the semifinal match, helping Tech take an early lead that they held for 57 minutes.

Although Florida Tech ultimately fell in the semifinals, Amorim's contributions did not go unnoticed by the conference coaches. His two-goal effort, combined with his overall impact in both games, earned him All-Tournament honors.

He is the first Florida Tech true freshman to make the SSC All-Tournament Team since both Tobias Hildmann and Josh Thomas did so during the 2014 SSC Championships.

The NCAA Men's Soccer Selection airs tonight, where the Panthers will find out where and who they will be playing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
