Drechsler Joins Sharpe with Third All-American Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Sjur Drechsler has been named a 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-American Third Team by United Soccer Coaches, the organization announced Thursday.

With the honor, Drechsler becomes just the second Panther in program history to earn All-America recognition three times, joining Florida Tech legend Richard Sharpe. His achievement further cements a legacy defined by excellence, leadership, and consistency at the highest level of Division II soccer.

Drechsler previously earned back-to-back First Team All-America selections in 2022 and 2023. The United Soccer Coaches also named him a First Team All-Region honoree this season.

The Stavanger, Norway native started all 19 matches in 2024, logging 1,725 minutes. The 2023 USC Player of the Year played 90 or more minutes in 18 contests, including every minute of Florida Tech's two-match SSC Tournament run (210 total). He anchored a defensive unit that posted four shutouts, highlighted by a stretch of 331 consecutive scoreless minutes, the longest by the program since 2019. He also contributed an assist in the Panthers' 3–0 neutral-site win over Wingate.

A three-time All-SSC First Team selection and D2CCA All-Region First Team honoree, Drechsler served as the team's defensive leader and captain throughout the year.
