United Soccer Coaches Names Three Panthers to All-South Region Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced the association's NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-Region Team for the South Region, naming three Panthers, with one on the first team and the other two on the third team.

Florida Tech earned three or more USC All-Region honorees for the fourth consecutive season. Sjur Drechsler, Alvaro Ivorra Ronda, and Antonio Di Gaudio are the recipients of the recognition for the fall of 2025. Drechsler earned First Team honors, while Ronda and Di Gaudio earned Third Team honors.

Drechsler made the first team for the second time in his career. He was previously named to the South All-Region First Team in 2023.

A native of Stavanger, Norway, Drechsler started all 19 matches this season and logged 1,725 minutes. The 2023 USC Player of the Year played 90 or more minutes in 17 contests, including every minute of Florida Tech's two-match SSC Tournament run (210 total). He anchored a backline that produced four shutouts, highlighted by a stretch of 331 straight scoreless minutes, the program's longest since 2019. Drechsler also contributed offensively with an assist in the Panthers' 3–0 neutral-site victory over Wingate. Our captain was also named to his third All-SSC First Team this season and was named to the All-Region First Team by the D2CCA.

Ronda's second career USC All-Region recognition came after a season in which he played a massive number of minutes for the Crimson and Gray, recording the third-most with 1,373 minutes in 17 started games. He rarely took a play off, competing for 90 or more minutes in 8 games. The junior registered his first two career assists versus No. 13 North Georgia and Eckerd. Ronda was also a crucial part of four clean sheets during the 2025 campaign. His junior campaign also saw him earn All-SSC Second Team.

Di Gaudio is top-10 in the Sunshine State Conference in shots on goal (9th), shots on goal per game (7th), goals (6th), goals per game (5th), points (9th), and points per game (7th). The Firenze, Italy native's nine goals on the season lead the Panthers. He is currently on a five-game goal streak, including the overtime game-winner in the SSC Quarterfinals against Barry. Di Gaudio is 6-for-6 on penalty kicks this season, which is the most by a Panther since at least 2007. He earned All-SSC Third Team for his offensive output during the 2025 season.

The Panthers finished the season with a 10-6-1 record, making the SSC Championship Quarterfinals after finishing second in the conference during the regular season.
