AUSTIN, Texas – Florida Tech men's soccer graduate student Sjur Drechsler has been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-American Third Team, as announced by the organization.
Drechsler becomes the fifth in program history to earn CSC Academic All-America honors, continuing Florida Tech men's soccer's tradition of excellence both academically and athletically.
Drechsler is pursuing a Master of Business Administration and maintains a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average. He was also named to the CSC Academic All-District Team on November 25, recognizing his combined success in the classroom and on the field.
On the pitch, Drechsler delivered another standout season in 2025. He was named a 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-American Third Team selection by United Soccer Coaches, marking his third career All-America honor and making him just the second Panther in program history to earn the distinction three times, joining program legend Richard Sharpe, Drechsler previously earned back-to-back First Team All-America honors in 2022 and 2023 and was also named USC First Team All-Region this season.
The Stavanger, Norway native started all 19 matches, logging 1,725 minutes while serving as the Panthers' defensive leader and team captain. Drechsler played 90 or more minutes in 18 contests, including every minute of Florida Tech's two-match SSC Tournament run (210 total). He anchored a defensive unit that recorded four shutouts, highlighted by a stretch of 331 consecutive scoreless minutes, the program's longest since 2019. He also contributed an assist in Tech's 3-0 neutral-site win over Wingate.
A three-time All-SSC First Team selection and D2CCA All-Region First Team honoree, Drechsler's consistency, leadership, and impact were instrumental to Florida Tech's success throughout the season.
