KANSAS CITY, Mo. - United Soccer Coaches announced on Friday the association's 2025 National Staff and Coach of the Year recipients for senior and junior college, high school, and youth/club soccer, as voted on by the coaches in their respective divisions and levels.
These staffs will be honored at the United Soccer Coaches Awards Ceremony on Jan. 16, 2026, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention. Each Regional Staff of the Year appeared on the ballot for National Staff of the Year, along with the addition of staffs from all schools which reached the semifinals of their respective championship.
Freels and Wilson led the Panthers to their first National Championship in program history. This season they coached nine All-SSC players, four All-South Region players, claimed Tech's fourth South Region Championship and guided the Panthers to their third Final Four appearance. They also coached Florida Tech's first United Soccer Coaches National Scholar Player of the Year, Sara Batchadji.
