KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Florida Tech women's soccer's
Lauryn Wood has been named Division II Postseason Player of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches.
Wood earns the honor as one of the most lethal offensive threats in division II as she scored four goals, had two assists and 10 total points in six games in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
She postseason tear started against Embry-Riddle in the first round as she picked up both assists in the Panthers 2-0 victory over the Eagles. Wood then went on a three-match stretch where she scored goals in the second round against West Florida, the sweet 16 against Nova Southeastern and the elite eight against Lenoir-Rhyne. The goal against LR would be a game-winner to send the Panthers to the NCAA Final Four.
In the National Championship match, Wood would cap off her senior season with a goal in the 14
th minute to give the Panthers the lead which they would not relinquish in route to their first National Championship in program history.
