FELLESMERE, Fla. – Florida Tech men's rowing opened up the spring campaign at Canal 54 with a dual against Jacksonville.
The Varsity 8+ set the tone early on and held strong through the course to defeat Jacksonville by 4.32 seconds. The crew, led by coxswain
Alex Doeringer-Smith, crossed the finish line in 6:01.72.
The Panther's second Varsity 8+ competed against two Jacksonville crews. JU's 2V8+ got the better of Tech, finishing 2.64 seconds ahead of the Panthers who crossed the line in 6:29.36, followed by the JU 3V8+ (6:45.18).
