MELBOURNE, Fla. – Four Florida Tech men's swimming scholar-athletes landed a spot on the College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic All-District team when the organization announced its selections on Tuesday afternoon.

Connor Orth,
George Jekov, and
Jacob Sykora represent the Panthers on the CSC Academic All-District Team. All three contributed significantly to the Panthers during the 2024-25 campaign.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top scholar-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Kunin, a sophomore, is earning his degree in computer science while holding a 3.79 cumulative grade point average. In his first season as a Panther coming from the University of Denver, Kunin finished in first place four times, including twice against Florida Southern in his first meet, and 18 top-5 finishes. At the SSC Championships, Kunin competed in six events, hitting personal best in the 200 breast prelims and then topping it in the finals. He also clocked in season bests in the prelims and finals of the 100 fly and 200 fly and another in the 200 IM. His time in those three events qualified him for NCAA B-Cut times.
Orth is a senior set to earn a bachelor's degree in biomedical science with a 3.73 GPA. His best meet came against Lynn, and he placed in the top 10 in all four events he competed in. His highest finish was fourth in the 100-yard freestyle. The Scottsdale, Arizona native clocked in personal bests in the 50 free at the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy and in the 100 and 200 free at the SSC Championships.
Jekov, a senior, is earning his electrical engineering degree and holding a 3.61 grade point average. The Kansas native had 12 top-10 finishes, four of which happened when Tech hosted Lynn. At the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy, Jekov swam two personal bests in the 50 and 200 free.
Sykora is majoring in aviation management with flight and holds a 3.66 grade point average as a junior. The Denver, Colorado native bested his season high in the 50 and 100 fly three times during the season, surpassing it the last time in the SSC Championships. He also had a season-best 21.33 in the 50 free at the SSC Championships.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early April.
