MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Florida Tech men's lacrosse team had five student-athletes selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District team.
Brooks Van Esselstyn,
Brian Barlotta,
Garrett Gmeiner,
Jonah Borynec and
Braden Hartlieb represent the Panthers on the CSC Academic All-District team.
Van Esselstyn, a native of Bluffton, South Carolina, recorded a 3.81 GPA in his aerospace engineering courses. He played in 16 games for the Panthers this season and recorded a career-high of 15 goals. Van Esselstyn had two hat tricks this season and caused five turnovers. Last season, he was named to Florida Tech's Athletic Director's Honor Roll and SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Barlotta, a Senior from Bedford, New Hampshire, registered a 3.82 GPA in his aeronautical sciences with flight courses. Barlotta played in 15 games and recorded 20 groundballs. He was named an Outstanding Student of the Year at the 2024-25 honor convocation.
Gmeiner, a native of Sykesville, Maryland, had a 4.00 GPA in his computer science classes. He earned Third-team All-SSC honors as he forced 12 turnovers and collected 22 groundballs this season. Gmeiner was recognized as a distinguished student at the 2024-25 honors convocation.
Borynec, a Sophomore from Parkland County, Alberta, Canada, earned a 4.00 GPA in his mechanical engineering courses. He played in 15 games this season for the Panthers and was named to Florida Tech's Athletic Director's Honor Roll as well as SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Hartlieb, a Senior from Westminster, Maryland, recorded a 4.00 GPA in his aerospace engineering classes. He played in 15 games for the Panthers this season and collected eight groundballs and had four caused turnovers.
