LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Florida Tech men's lacrosse team was recognized with the Team All-Academic Award by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) on Tuesday, July 1. Additionally,
Garrett Gmeiner,
Jakob Terpak and
Gavin Wessel earned their way onto the USILA Scholar All-American team.
To receive the Team All-Academic Award, a program must have a team GPA of 3.00 or higher. Florida Tech was one of 24 NCAA Division II teams to receive the award as they completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.27.
Eight Panthers recorded a perfect 4.00 GPA during the 2025 spring semester. 32 scholar-athletes of the men's lacrosse team earned a 3.5 GPA or higher throughout the spring.

Gavin Wessel were named to the USILA Scholar All-American list also released on Thursday by the association.
Gmeiner, a computer science major from Sykesville, Maryland, earned a perfect 4.00 GPA while he picked up 21 groundballs and caused 12 turnovers on the field. Gmeiner started 14 games for the Panthers in 2025 while he had two games where he picked up three groundballs.
Terpak, a business administration-information technology management major from York, Pennsylvania, notched a 3.66 GPA while leading the team with 16 assists and 30 points during the 2025 season. Terpak recorded 14 goals including a game-winning goal against No. 17 Colorado Mesa on Mar. 18.
Wessel, an electrical engineering major from Melbourne, Florida, had a 3.8 GPA while being fourth on the team with 33 ground balls. He recorded four goals, five caused turnovers and played in all 16 games for the Panthers in the 2025 season.
