NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), released its Academic Honor Squads and Honor Roll as announced by the association Wednesday afternoon.
The IWLCA had named 383 schools across Division I, II, II and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic year.
The Florida Tech women's lacrosse team was selected to the IWLCA Honor Squad with a time grade point average of 3.56 over the course of the 2024-25 academic year.
Additionally, the IWLCA recognized 588 student-athletes from 84 different institutions on the 2024-25 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes be a junior, senior or graduate student and earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Angelo, a junior from Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, earned a perfect 4.00 GPA in her biomedical engineering courses along with being named to the SSC Honor Roll. On the field, Angelo started and played in four games while totaling three goals, one assist and 12 draw controls.
Canessa, a graduate student from West Long Branch, New Jersey, recorded a perfect 4.00 GPA in her MBA classes. She earned Outstanding Student of the Year award for the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business as well as being selected to the SSC Honor Roll. Canessa played in 10 games during the 2025 season and collected 27 saves in 94 shots faced.
Frey, a graduate student from Sparrows Point, Maryland, notched a perfect 4.00 GPA in her applied behavioral analysis courses and was named to the SSC Honor Roll.
Hurt, a junior from Manchester, England, earned a 3.73 GPA in her biochemistry classes during the spring semester. She was named to the SSC Honor Roll. Hurt played in and started all 18 games for the Panthers and totaled 11 goals, 23 ground balls, caused 16 turnovers and had 42 draw controls.
Lucchesi, a senior from Charlotte, North Carolina, recorded a 3.60 GPA in her computer engineering courses. Lucchesi was named to the Sunshine State Conference Honor Roll.
Niro, a senior from Boca Raton, Florida, notched a perfect 4.00 GPA in her forensic psychology classes. She was named to the SSC Honor Roll after the season where she played in 13 games for the Panthers. Niro collected nine goals, five assists, 17 shots on goal, eight ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
Ogren, a junior from Hollis, New Hampshire, had a GPA of 3.20 in her global management and finance courses and was named to the SSC Honor Roll. She started 13 games and notched six ground balls and caused five turnovers.
Skowronski, a senior from Point Pleasant, New Jersey, earned a 3.46 GPA in her biomedical engineering classes. She was recognized as a distinguished student in biomedical sciences and was named to the SSC Honor Roll. Skowronski played in eight games for the Panthers in 2025 and scored two goals and had one assist.
Smith, a senior from Flower Mound, Texas, earned a perfect 4.00 GPA in her multiplatform journalism courses. She was recognized as a distinguished student in multiplatform journalism and was named to the SSC Honor Roll. Smith started 10 games for the Panthers and tallied 17 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and two draw controls.
Walter, a graduate student from Barnegat, New Jersey, notched a perfect 4. 00 GPA in her MBA classes. She earned in the Outstanding Student of the Year award for the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business and was named to the SSC Honor Roll. Walter recorded 20 ground balls and caused nine turnovers.
