Orlando, Florida – The Sunshine State Conference has released the Baseball Preseason Poll ahead of the 2026 season. Florida Tech is picked to finish 6
th in the conference in a poll voted on by the league's 11 head coaches.
The Panthers garnered 44 points in the poll after going 24-24 (13-17 SSC) during the 2025 season. Tech returns big-time bats in
Anthony Fimiano,
Jaden Hill, and
Cole Patrick that look to take a step forward in 2026. Pitchers
Jacob Pino,
Noah Steckley and
Brayden DiCerb look to improve upon solid seasons on the mound from a year ago.
Newcomers
Marcello Cortale,
Brian Perez and
Blake Holshouser join a roster with the goal of reaching the NCAA South Regional for the first time since 2015.
Tampa and Florida Southern were picked to finish first and second, followed by Rollins, Lynn and Nova Southeastern.
The 2026 season is set to begin on January 30, with all 11 Sunshine State Conference baseball teams opening play. Florida Tech will open the new year with a three-game series against Spring Hill before heading to Valdosta State the following weekend.
