Drew Yenser Joins Florida Tech as Assistant Director of Compliance

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech Deputy Athletic Director Jen Mercurio has announced the hiring of Drew Yenser as Assistant Director of Compliance.

"I am excited to welcome Drew Yenser to our compliance staff. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his experience at Anderson University.  Drew's background in compliance will strengthen our department and support the continued success of our scholar-athletes, coaches and staff."

Yenser joins Florida Tech with a strong background in collegiate athletics administration, compliance, and game-day operations, bringing experience across multiple departments and competitive levels. Most recently, Yenser served as an intern at Anderson University before being promoted to a graduate assistant in compliance.

"I am super excited to start at Florida Tech, and I am incredibly thankful to Jen and Jamie for the opportunity. I look forward to impacting Florida Tech scholar-athletes beyond the field."

While at Anderson, Yenser managed Teamworks Compliance and Recruiting systems for more than 500 student-athletes and all athletic staff members. His responsibilities included evaluating midyear eligibility and certifying eligibility for returners, transfers, international students, and first-time freshmen, while also assisting with NCAA waivers and violation reporting. In his expanded role, he began reporting and filing NCAA and SAC violations/waivers, and guided athletes with various academic issues, such as class registration and academic holds. He also served as the primary compliance contact for the softball program and assisted student-athletes with academic-related needs.

In addition to his compliance duties, Yenser gained hands-on experience in sports information and game-day operations, working event management roles across multiple sports including basketball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, tennis, and volleyball. His background also includes game-day internships with Gamecock Sports Properties through Learfield, where he supported corporate sponsorship activations and fan engagement at SEC athletic events.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Anderson University, where he holds a 3.75 GPA and is expected to graduate in May 2026. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina, graduating cum laude with a 3.6 GPA and earning Dean's List honors throughout his undergraduate career.

A native of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Yenser brings strong organizational, communication, and technical skills, with experience using NCAA compliance systems, Teamworks/ARMS, Workday, and Microsoft Office platforms.
