MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference has announced that Florida Tech men's lacrosse's Steve Ulrichs was named SSC Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday, Mar. 2.
 
Steve Ulrichs, a redshirt senior from Richmond, Virginia, notched a career-high of six caused turnovers and tied a career-high of seven ground balls against the Concordia Golden Eagles. 
 
Ulrichs helped create havoc on defense as Tech held CUI to eight goals which is the lowest the Panthers have held a team to so far this season.
 
Ulrichs and the rest of the Panthers will be back in action on Saturday, Mar. 7 as they take on Belmont Abbey in Belmont, North Carolina.
