MELBOURNE, Fla. – For the first time in program history, the Florida Tech men's lacrosse team has punched their ticket to the 2026 NCAA Tournament as announced by the NCAA on Sunday May. 3.
The Panthers will continue their 2026 season as the third seed in the South Region with a record of 12-4 (6-1 SSC). So far this season, Tech has tied a program record with their 12 wins which includes eight wins against teams that are ranked inside the USILA Coaches Poll or received votes in the poll.
Additionally, Florida Tech will host an NCAA Tournament game for the first time in program history as they will welcome in the sixth-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne Bears on Sunday, May 10 at Rick Stottler Field. First faceoff set for 1:00 p.m.
This season, Tech was led by six players who were selected to the 2026 All-Sunshine State Conference Teams in
Jax Francisco,
Steve Ulrichs,
Thomas Strong, Brooks van Esselstyn,
Joe Coveleski and
Garrett Gmeiner. Francisco, Ulrichs, Strong and van Esselstyn were named to the First Team while Coveleski landed on the second and Gmeiner the Third Team.
