ORLANDO, Fla.- The Sunshine State Conference announced its 2026 Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll on Friday, and 176 Florida Tech scholar-athletes were recognized for their outstanding performance in the classroom.
Of the 176 scholar-athletes, 64 earned a perfect 4.00 grade-point average during the 2026 spring semester.
Florida Tech posted a 3.47 department GPA, with every team earning at least a 3.1 GPA or higher in the spring semester.
A total of 2,256 scholar-athletes have been named to the 2026 Spring Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. Additionally, 546 scholar-athletes carried a perfect 4.00 GPA for the fall semester.
This year's total breaks the previous record number of 522 named to the 2025 Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the Fall SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, a scholar-athlete must post a minimum grade-point average of 3.20 on a scale of 4.00. Participants in the sports of men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's outdoor track, men's and women's lacrosse, baseball, and softball are eligible for the spring honor roll.
Having won 144 Division II National Championships since the league was founded in 1975, SSC scholar-athletes have proven successful in competition in addition to the classroom. The SSC ranked first among NCAA Division II conferences in ASR (Academic Success Rate) for the third-straight year in 2024-25 and has never fallen below second in the metric's 19-year history.
