Graduate defender selected to Preseason All-America Third Team ahead of 2022 season

BALTIMORE, Md. – Florida Tech defender Josh Vetter has been named a 2022 Preseason Third Team All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine.

Vetter becomes the second Panther to receive preseason All-America honors, joining alum Reid Chaconas who earned the award in 2020 and 2021.

The Ellicott City, Maryland native was selected to the All-SSC First Team and USILA All-South Region Third Team in 2021. He finished last season ranking third in the SSC in caused turnovers per game (2.88) and total caused turnovers (23), which are good for second and fifth most in a season in Florida Tech history, respectively. Additionally, the graduate student tied for fifth in the SSC in ground balls per game (4.75) and tied for eighth in total ground balls (38), which also ties for eighth most in a season in program history.
