Fort Pierce, Fla. – The Florida Tech men's swimming team returned to action on Wednesday afternoon as they competed in a tri-meet with Indian River State, the current #1 ranked team in the NJCAA and reigning national champions, and Keiser, the current #1 ranked team in the NAIA and reigning national champions, at the Anne Wilder Aquatic Complex.
The Panthers fell to the Seahawks, 145-117 and to the Pioneers, 198-64.
Akos Hajagos continued his sensational freshman campaign, taking the top spot in the 200 Free with a 1:39.92 time that was nearly two seconds ahead of the closest competitor. The win was Hajagos' fifth individual win of the season.
Luke Altmann nabbed second in the 100 Free with a time of 45.62, which was .25s off of first.
Daniel Aizenberg earned third in a tightly contested 50 Back that saw the top four finish within .61s of each other with a time of 23.63.
Connor Orth made it to the podium in the 50 Breast, earning third with a 26.49 finish. He would also earn third in the 100 Breast with a 57.29 time.
Jay Jay Fonnotto grabbed third in the 100 Fly thanks to his time of 50.42.
Brayden Hohman was the first Crimson and Gray swimmer to the line in the 500 Free, with his 4:52.32 time good for third place.
In relay action, the group of Fonnotto, Orth, Hajagos and Altmann were Florida Tech's top finishers in the 800 Medley with a fourth place finish, thanks to a time of 7:43.58.
In the 200 Free, the team of
Max Martino,
Jacob Sykora, Altmann and
Matteo Caruso earned third with a time of 1:24.81.

th for the first day of the 2023 Panther Invite, with the morning session scheduled to begin at 10:00 A.M., followed by the evening session beginning at 5:00 P.M.
