DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Florida Tech took on Auburn Montgomery for its second game of the weekend. RHP Sean Means was dominant on the bump as the Panthers took down the Warhawks.  

INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

STATS OF GAME: 

• The Panthers opened the scoring in the first inning with Brett Parrish driving in Gabe Garett on an RBI sacrifice fly to center field. 
• AUM tied the game in the second inning on an RBI single up the middle by Cole Kehoe. 
• Roman Samson and Austin Sewell each singled in the fourth inning, but Tech was unable to score them.  
• Means finished his day with a 1-2-3 sixth inning. His final line was six innings pitched, one earned run on two hits with three strikeouts and three walks.  
• RHP Tyler Vermillion came out of the bullpen and threw two scoreless innings with two strikeouts. He was the winning pitcher for the Panthers.  
• Sewell gave the Panthers the lead in the eighth inning with an RBI single to left field that scored Sam Schner.  
• The Panthers got an insurance run later in the eighth on a fielding error that scored Sewell.  
• RHP Ridge Skarbek got the save recording three ground outs in the ninth inning.  
• Florida Tech had 12 hits on the day with Sewell leading the way with three hits. 
• The pitching staff for the Panthers held AUM to just three hits. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE: 

• The Panthers move to 1-0 all-time against Auburn Montgomery. 
• 12 hits are a season-high for Florida Tech.  

UP NEXT: Florida Tech returns to action tomorrow Feb. 12 for a regional matchup with Valdosta State in Daytona Beach. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
