Melbourne, Fla. – The Florida Tech men's and women's swimming program will host its first meet of the 2023-24 season this Saturday, September 30
th at 11:00 am at the Panther Aquatic Center against in-conference opponent Rollins. The 2023-24 schedule consists of four dual meets, two at home and two on the road, the three-day-long Panther Invite, NSU Shark Invite, Indian River State College Tri-Meet, and CSCAA Open Water Nationals.

When looking at the upcoming season and this year's teams, Head Coach
David Dent commented. "We're eagerly anticipating the upcoming season, thanks to the strong additions of freshmen and transfers who have already made a positive impact in our program".

Our returning athletes have come back from the summer with a determined mindset to excel this season. Furthermore, we have a solid core from last year's team, including
Daniel Aizenberg,
Connor Orth, and
Jay Jay Fonnotto on the men's side, and
Katherine Helminiak,
Harper Powell, and
Débora Xavier on the women's side. These six athletes have previous NCAA Championship experience and will provide valuable leadership, increasing our chances of sending more athletes to the NCAA this year."

Following Tech's opening meet this upcoming weekend, The following weekend on Saturday, October 7, the team will head to Lakeland and compete against Florida Southern at 12:00 pm.

The two-day NSU Shark invited hosted by Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. will take place on Friday, October 13, and Saturday, October 14. The Panthers will then have a weekend off, before heading to Boca Raton to battle the Lynn Fighting Knights on Friday, October 27.

November 8
th will see the Crimson and Gray and Keiser University head to Indian River State College in Ft. Pierce, Fla. For a Tri-Meet against the Seahawks and Pioneers.

This year's Panther Invite will take place over the span of three days from Friday, November 17 to Sunday, November 19. The following schools participating in this year's Panther invite are Indian River State College, Barry, Florida Southern, Rollins and St. Thomas University (Fla.).

following the Panther Invite, Tech will take some time off, before traveling back to Biscayne Bay for Tech's second-ever open water swim event at the CSCAA Open Water Nationals hosted by Florida International University (FIU). The Open Water Swim Nationals will take place on Sunday, December 17
th.

The final meet of the regular season for the Crimson and Gray will occur on January 27 at 12:00 p.m. against Lynn at the Panther Aquatic Center.

When asked what Dent was excited about for the upcoming season he stated "We're thrilled about the new additions our Athletic program has introduced for this year. These include leadership and cognitive training programs designed to enhance our athletes' leadership skills and equip them with the tools to manage day-to-day stressors more effectively. These initiatives are poised to make a significant positive impact on our athletes in and out of the pool. We've also expanded our coaching staff, ensuring that our athletes receive more individualized attention and guidance from the poolside."

Florida Tech will host this year's SSC Championships in Ocala, Fla. Which will be held from Wednesday, February 14 through Sunday, February 18.

The 2024 NCAA Men's and Women's Swimming Championships will take place from Wednesday, March 13 to Sunday, March 17
th In Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Institute – Aquatics Center.
