Volleyball Set to Make Historical Mark in NCAA Tournament

Melbourne, FL - The Florida Tech Panthers volleyball team is set to open a new chapter in the record books for the program as this will be their first ever appearance in their 47-year history.

The No.5 seeded Panthers are set to take on the No.4 seeded Embry-Riddle Eagles in what is sure to be a tough battle above the net. The teams are familiar with one another as they have met twice this year, with both matches going late into the fifth set. It was the Eagles who took the regular season series over the Panthers (2-0) as they went on to finish the year 20-9 overall and 13-7 SSC conference record.
The Panthers finished 20-9 overall and 14-6 in the SSC conference and will look to earn their first tournament win by taking down this familiar foe as they will clash at the host site, Lynn University, on Friday, December 6th, at 4:30 pm in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, with the winner set to play the winner of No.1 Lynn & No.8 Spring Hill on Saturday, Dec. 7th at 7:00 pm.

The South Regional Championship is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 8th, at Lynn University, followed by the Elite Eight National Quarterfinals, the Final Four National Semifinals, and the National Championship match, all of which will be held Dec. 12-14 in Sioux Falls, SD.
