LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY – The AVCA has released the All-America teams for the 2025 volleyball season.
Cordelia Kearns has been honored with a First-Team All-American selection for the second time in her career. The Junior from Lake Mills, Wisconsin, becomes the first Panther ever to receive this honor twice and in back-to-back seasons after being the first player to earn the nod in 2024. Earlier this month, Kearns was named First-Team All-South Region, but has now solidified herself as one of the best players in the entire nation.
Head Coach
Jordan Willis had this to say about Cordelia's historic achievements, "Yet again, I couldn't be more proud of Cordelia and all of her efforts this season. And to be the first player in Florida Tech volleyball history to be a two-time First-Team All-American, there couldn't be a better representative to hold that moniker. As great of a player she has been for our program, she is an even better person. Our team theme this year was Be You, Build Us. As she continues to shine, she continues to build our program."
Cordelia finished the season ranking second in the country in kills per set (5.01), fourth in total kills (505), and fifth in total points (5.39). Her legendary season puts her firmly in not just Florida Tech Volleyball history but also in Sunshine State Conference History. Her elite numbers have her 101 kills away from breaking the all-time kills record for a Panther, and her 505 kills are the second most in program history for a single season. By averaging 5.05 kills per set, she places third in the all-time leader board in the SSC for kills per set in a single season. She was also named a Third-Team All-American by the D2CCA .
After a 2024 season in which Cordelia put her name and Florida Tech on the map, she followed that All-American season with arguably an even more historic 2025. Fans will unfortunately have to wait until September 2026 to see what Kearns has in store for her Senior season.
