Kearns Named First Team All-SSC, Voelstad Bogen Earns Second Team Nod

Orlando, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference has announced All-Conference honors following the 2025 regular season. Florida Tech Volleyball had two athletes receive recognition for their fantastic seasons in their respective positions. Outside Hitter Cordelia Kearns was named to the All-SSC First Team and Libero Kari Voelstad Bogen was named to the All-SSC Second Team.

Cordelia Kearns – Lake Mills, Wisconsin:
This is the second First Team All-Conference (2024) nod for Cordelia Kearns, who led the Sunshine State Conference in total kills and kills per set with 505 in just 101 sets played (5.05 K/S). Cordelia's kill numbers placed her second in the nation in kills per set and fourth in the nation for total kills. Kearns set a career high in kills this season, registering 30 kills against Nova Southeastern, and had over 20 kills in eight matches this season. In a 28-match season, she recorded 21 double-doubles with 10+ kills and 10+ digs. The Junior was named SSC Offensive Player of the Week twice for her elite play this season and played every point of conference play for the Panthers.
Head Coach Jordan Willis on Kearns, "Cordelia has been a stalwart player for us ever since she has walked onto campus. She not only is one of the best players in the SSC but in the country and we are fortunate to have her here at Florida Tech. She is so well deserving of being First Team All-SSC. 1st in the conference and 2nd in the nation at kills per set as well as being 2nd in conference and 6th in the nation at points per set, she has made a lasting impact on this program."

Kari Voelstad Bogen – Sola, Norway:
Kari Voelstad Bogen followed up her Third-team All-Conference selection from a year ago by being named to the All-SSC Second Team. The Senior finished the regular season fifth in the Sunshine State Conference for total digs (456) and third in digs per set (4.51). Voelstad Bogen recorded 15+ digs in 16 matches this season and had 20+ digs in 7 of those matches. She had 30 digs against ranked Lynn University and was an every-set presence for the Panthers in the back row. Her defensive prowess helped the Panthers finish first in the SSC in digs per set with 17.07.
Head Coach Jordan Willis on Kari, "Kari switched her number from 6 to our legacy number of 37 and she wore it proudly and embodied everything that it stands for. Her Second Team All-SSC is well deserved but only touches on what she has meant to this program over her time here. Her consistent presence in our serve receive and defense anchored our team's success. Her steady presence gave us confidence. I am grateful for her and all that she has done for our program."

The play of these two elite players helped the Panthers clinch back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2007-2008. Tech's season hangs in the hands of the NCAA Selection Committee as the Panthers look to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA South Regional. The selection show is scheduled for 7:30 tonight and is free to watch on NCAA.com.
