Lexington, Kentucky – The AVCA and D2CCA have announced their 2025 Division II Women's Volleyball All-Region teams and award winners. Florida Tech's
Cordelia Kearns has earned All-South Region First Team honors for the second year in a row. She becomes the first Panther ever to receive these awards in back-to-back seasons.
Cordelia has solidified herself as one of the best hitters in the country, leading the South Region and Sunshine State Conference in kills and kills per set. Her 505 kills on the season puts her fourth in the entire country and her 5.05 kills per set is second nationally. In a 28-match season, she recorded 21 double-doubles with 10+ kills and 10+ digs. The Junior was named SSC Offensive Player of the Week twice for her elite play this season and played every point of conference play for the Panthers.
Head Coach
Jordan Willis, when asked about Kearns, "At the regional level, Cordelia just continues to shine and stand out. She has put in the work and improved each year offensively and defensively. I love the fact she is continually getting noticed for her efforts in the South Region. Without a doubt, she is worthy of these awards 2 years in a row."
While the Panthers did not attain all the goals they set for themselves as a team, Cordelia's elite season still helped them finish in the top half of the Sunshine State Conference, win the Karman Clash Cup (rivalry trophy with Embry-Riddle) and total three ranked wins on the year.
