Women’s Soccer Unveils 2024 Schedule

MELBOURNE, Fla. – In her first year at the helm of the Panthers, Florida Tech women's soccer head coach Katy Freels has revealed the schedule for the 2024 season. This season, the schedule features 15 regular season games, including six home matches and a 10-game Sunshine State Conference (SSC) schedule.

The Panthers are coming off a 17-3-3 overall record in 2023, a third-straight SSC Championship appearance, and the program's second-ever appearance in the NCAA Final Four.

"We are really excited about our upcoming 2024 season," said Freels. "Coming off of our Final Four run last year we were intentional in challenging ourselves with an incredibly demanding non-conference schedule."

After a series of preseason scrimmages in August, Tech opens the regular season at home at Rick Stottler Field on Saturday, September 7 against Tiffin.

The following week, the Panthers begin a four-game road trip starting in St. Augustine, Fla. against Flagler on September 12. A few days later, Tech will travel to Dahlonega, Ga. to face off with North Georgia.

The Panthers will continue to travel north to battle with Lenoir-Rhyne on September 17 in a rematch of last year's NCAA Elite Eight contest that saw Tech come away with the win, 5-4, after scoring a goal with less than five minutes left in regulation.

The road trip concludes on September 21 with a non-conference match against Nova Southeastern.

"Flagler, UNG, Lenoir-Rhyne, and Nova Southeastern all qualified for the NCAA Tournament last year and are potential top-25 programs," continued Freels. "These tough road games early in the season will prepare us for both our conference schedule and potential NCAA games."

Conference play begins on September 25 when the Panthers host Rollins. Then on September 28, Tech welcomes Embry-Riddle to town for a rematch of last year's SSC Championship game.

The Panthers get back on the road for back-to-back conference games on October 2 and October 9 against Saint Leo and Palm Beach Atlantic.

Tech returns to Rick Stottler Field for two home matches against Tampa on October 12 and Nova Southeastern on October 16.

Following a road game on October 19 against Florida Southern, the Panthers host Eckerd on October 26 for Senior Day and its final home game of the regular season.

The regular season concludes with two road games against Lynn and Barry on October 30 and November 7.

"The SSC continues to be one of the toughest conferences nationally," stated Freels. "We are very fortunate to have some of the top games at home this season and hope to fill the stands this Fall."

The SSC Tournament is set to begin with the quarterfinal round on November 11 with the championship game to be played on November 17. The NCAA Tournament is slated to begin on November 21.
