MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Florida Tech softball team released its schedule for the upcoming 2025 season under the direction of head coach
Val Silvestrini. The Panthers are scheduled to play 52 games, with 19 home games and a 30-game conference schedule.
"I'm excited to watch this team take the field this year! From the very start, we'll face top-tier regional competition, pushing us to be our very best," said Coach Silvestrini. "The schedule is packed with challenging match ups that will test our skills, resilience, and determination, and I do not doubt that our team will rise to the occasion. It's going to be an exciting season!"
Florida Tech finished the 2024 season with a 25-21 overall record and a 14-16 conference record. The offense tied the conference lead with 23 home runs, and the defense had the third-highest fielding percentage in program history.
The Panthers begin the 2025 campaign with the Gulf Shores Invitational from January 31 to February 2. Tech will square off with Montevallo and Spring Hill on day one and North Georgia and West Alabama on day two. The Crimson and Gray will wrap up the tournament with Lubbock Christian and Valdosta State on February 2.
After the Gulf Shores Invitational, the Panthers travel to Daytona Beach for the Eagle Classic hosted by Embry-Riddle. They will play four games between February 7 and February 8. On the first day, the Panthers will take on Newberry and Auburn-Montgomery. Then, face Newberry again along with Embry-Riddle on the second day of the classic.
The home and conference opener will take place the following weekend when Tech hosts Palm Beach Atlantic for a three-game series on February 14 and 15. Following the home series, Tech travels for a doubleheader at Flagler on February 18 before heading to Florida Southern on February 21 and 22.
Before competing in their third tournament, the Panthers play three home games against Nova Southeastern on February 28 and March 1 and two home games against Wilmington on March 4.
Tech participates in the Space Coast Invitational in Viera three days later, facing Bridgeport and Felician on March 7 and Walsh and Tiffin on March 8. Next, the team hosts a doubleheader against Adelphi on March 10 before traveling to Lyn for a three-game series. After those five games, Florida Tech returns to Viera for neutral site games against Molloy and Southern Connecticut State on March 19.
Saint Leo comes to Melbourne for a home series on March 21, followed by a doubleheader on March 22. The Panthers then hit the road for back-to-back series at Rollins on March 28-29 and Embry-Riddle on April 5-6.
Tech will host Eckerd for a series on April 11-12 before battling in Tampa for the final road games of the season against Tampa on April 17-18. The Panthers round out the regular season on April 25-26 at home with a series against Barry.
