MELBOURNE, Fla. -- After an impressive first season leading to a Second Team All-SSC selection,
Haley Rider earned more recognition as a D2CCA All-South Region Second Team member, announced on Monday.
Rider proved to be not only one of the top freshmen in the Sunshine State Conference but also one of the standout players in the region during the 2025 season. The Viera native led the Panthers with a .378 batting average, four triples, a .597 slugging percentage, and a .432 on-base percentage across 40 starts. Her batting average ranked seventh in the SSC, while her slugging percentage was second. She also tallied 17 runs, six doubles, four home runs, and 22 RBI. Rider's 1.029 OPS is the fourth highest single-season mark in program history, making her the first freshman—and only the fifth Panther overall—to post an OPS above 1.000.
She becomes the first Panther freshman to earn D2CCA All-Region honors. The program's only freshman All-Region recipient for any publication, Tyme Fruscella received an honor from the NFCA.
