CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Florida Tech women's rowing team achieved an impressive fourth-place finish at the famous Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, Oct. 19.
Competing in a field of 41 schools in the Women's Collegiate Four event, the Panthers earned a medal with a time of 19:22.7. Carleton University won the event with William Smith and Northwestern taking second and third places.
This was the first Head of the Charles competition for sophomores
Samantha Eisenhofer and
Kiera Springer while the fourth for seniors Mckenna Barr (coxswain),
Brynn Romberger and
Ashton Clark. Due to the large number of entries in the event, medals were awarded to the top five finishers, marking the fourth consecutive year the Lady Panthers have earned a medal at this prestigious regatta.
UP NEXT: The Women's team travels to Daytona, FL on November 8th to compete in the Florida Fall Invitational Regatta hosted by Embry Riddle University.
