MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Florida Tech men's and women's soccer teams have earned a spot in the 2025 NCAA Tournament as announced on Monday, Nov. 17. Both teams were selected with at-large bids.
Women's
The Florida Tech women earned the fourth seed in the South Region with an overall record of 11-3-6 (5-2-3 SSC). Tech is coming off an SSC Tournament run where they defeated Tampa in the quarterfinals, 2-0 and Rollins in the semifinal, 2-1. The Panthers made it to their fifth consecutive conference championship match where they took on the top seeded Nova Southeastern Sharks. Tech took NSU to penalty kicks where Nova won 6-5.Â
This is Florida Tech's third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament and their 10th NCAA appearance in program history.Â
Tech will renew an SSC rivalry as they take on Embry-Riddle on Friday, Nov. 21 at the UWF Soccer Complex. The first and second rounds will be hosted by the top seed in the South Region, West Florida.
Men's
The Florida Tech men earned the third seed in their respective region with an overall record of 8-2-8 (5-2-3 SSC). In the SSC Tournament, Tech defeated sixth-seeded Barry in the quarterfinals and in overtime, 2-1. In the semifinals, the Panthers took on the reigning NCAA Champions from a season ago, Lynn. The men's took the Fighting Knights to penalty kicks and had the same fate as the women's team where Lynn won 5-4.Â
For the men, this is their 13th appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Their first match up will come against the sixth-seeded Mississippi College Choctaws on Sunday, Nov. 23 at Rick Stottler Field in Melbourne, Fla. Kickoff set for 3:00 p.m. EST.
