Box Score Melbourne, Florida – Opening day has arrived for Florida Tech Baseball. The Panthers began the 2026 season by hosting Spring Hill in their first regional contest of the year.

GAME NOTES:
- Jacob Pino began the new season by throwing up a zero in the top of the first before Adrian Dominguez singled to score a run in the bottom of the first.
- Tech added another early run in the bottom of the second off a William Rollings sacrifice fly.
- Pino continued to roll in his first start of the season, keeping the Badgers off the scoreboard through four innings.
- The Panthers lead grew to 3-0 after a bases-loaded RBI walk from Jeff Davis.
- Spring Hill attempted to get back in the game with a lead-off triple in the top of the sixth, but Jacob Pino buckled down and struck out the side to leave the runner stranded.
- In response to the big inning from Pino, newcomer Gabe Roque made his mark in his debut with a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth to put Tech up 7-0.
- With all the momentum, the bottom half of the order came through again with Rollings putting the ball in play to score Conner Wiggins and grab the 8th run of the ballgame.
- Despite giving up a late two-run home run to the Badgers, Tech put the game away to secure the first win of the 2026 season.
